How to Eat a Bell Pepper

I like peppers. All the colors of the Bell Peppers. Pretty, huh?

But when I use a knife to cut it up, the seeds get everywhere and it's almost not worth the trouble.
A few weeks ago I attended the St. Louis Homeschool Expo. I learned MANY things but one of the most exciting was how to eat a whole pepper!

LIKE AN APPLE! Except you turn the pepper "upside down" and eat all around the seeds. The seeds just stay with the ribs and its a delicious, healthy, and FUN snack! See...That Works for ME!

Hair Accessory Organization

Quite awhile ago, I found a jewelry organizer for all Kara's hair ribbons, barrettes, rubber bands etc. It's worked GREAT!But the "hair" drawer was still cluttered with headbands and more. (Sorry for the blurry picture....I can't retake it because now the drawer is organized!)
Then I came across (not on Pinterest) a great headband organizer. I changed it up a bit and it seems to be a good solution.

I started with an empty oatmeal canister.I tried to use the scrapbook paper that the original blogger suggested...but it was way too small. And I only had one piece.
So I covered it with wrapping paper. Now I can even use inside the canister for storage. Works for me! Now look at the drawer. (The empty baby food container is for those teeny tiny plastic rubber bands that work so well in our thin hair! And the scissors are for cutting out said rubber bands.)

And maybe the organization will help us from using the headbands elsewhere...like on little brother :)

WFMW-How to Save Bacon

It's been awhile since I've participated in WFMW...but I think I've got a good one!

Instead of letting bacon go bad (since our small family doesn't eat in that often), when I get the bacon (either turkey or regular) from the store, I immediately roll each slice individually. Then place them in a freezer bag. Each morning that Kara or I want bacon, I nuke as many pieces as we want (to thaw) and then cook however!
Yum!
