It's Not Easy Being Green

I love cheap and I'm trying to be more environmentally aware (see Linda for more information). I use IKEA reusable bags when I go grocery shopping. I love them because they can fit A LOT groceries and they were only about 59 cents. But I was looking for the normal size resuable bags. While at Walgreens one day, I saw that they had a coupon for 3 bags for 99 cents!!!

So I bought three. When I went to the checkout I realized I left my wallet in the car. I told the lady I'd be right back. When I returned, she had bagged the bags!

So much for trying to be green. Here is the saying on the bag that made me laugh:

"Go Green...I Did!!!" Well, I did after this trip!

Self Portrait

I've been tagged by my amazing cousin, Sherah, to do a self-portrait. Here are the rules:

1. Sit down.
2. Take a picture of yourself right now. Don't primp, just snap one!
3. Upload it.
4. Tag 3 people to do the same.

Here's the outcome:
Thanks, Sherah, not because I got to take this "lovely" picture of myself (gross). But because I found my sister, Erin's blog!!! Erin, I didn't know you actually wrote something on your blog! Cool.
Here's who I'm tagging:
1. Crystal
2. Diane
3. Meredith

Midnight Walk

Ok...I didn't really take my daughter and the Heater kids out for a walk at midnight, but we called it a midnight walk. They each had a cute little flashlight and it was super dark (maybe more than I anticipated). I couldn't resist being outside the whole day Friday because of the amazing weather. Here are some cute pictures:

PS: John is wearing Kara's coat. He probably didn't need a coat but I'm a bit overprotective!!!

And after that, we put buckets on our heads!

Girls Getaway

Once a year, two of my college roommates and I go on a "Girls Getaway." (Ok, this was only the second year, but it will be an EVERY year thing.) Last year, I had a blast and was worried that my expectations were too high for this year. But my girls didn't let me down! Just hanging out with these two makes me smile....see?

My only regret was that we didn't take more pictures. But you really can't capture all the great fellowship we had in a picture!!!

Happy Birthday, Kara or What's this??? A New Post?!?!?!

If you haven't noticed, I've been pretty busy and blogging has kind of gone by the wayside. I'll try to update it more often for all you HobieandGobie fans. This picture will have to do for now.
Happy 4th Birthday, Kara!!!
